This Privacy Policy explains how Smart IPTV Stream ("we", "us", the "Service") collects, uses and protects your information when you use our web app, browser extension and TV apps. By using the Service you agree to this policy.

1. Who we are & what the Service is

Smart IPTV Stream is a media player. You bring your own IPTV playlist (an Xtream Codes login or an M3U/M3U8 URL) from your own provider, and the app plays it. We do not provide, sell, host or supply any channels, streams or media content.

2. Information we collect

We only collect the data needed to run the Service:

Account information — the email address you register with, and a securely hashed password.
Your IPTV playlist details — the Xtream Codes login (server address, username, password) or M3U URL you enter. These are your access credentials to your own provider.
App data — your profiles, favorites, continue-watching progress, parental PIN and preferences (language, theme).
Technical data — basic device/browser information and IP address, used for security, abuse-prevention and (where needed) to proxy streams.

We do not collect your browsing history, we do not track you across other websites, and we do not use advertising trackers.

3. How we use your information

To create and secure your account and authenticate you.
To sync your profiles, favorites, watch progress and settings across your devices.
To load and play the playlist, EPG and streams from the provider you configure.
To process a one-time Pro upgrade and reflect your Pro status.
To protect the Service against fraud, abuse and technical faults.

4. Third parties

We share the minimum necessary data with:

Your IPTV provider — the app connects directly to the server address you enter to fetch your playlist, EPG and streams. We do not control that provider.
Cleeng — our payment processor for the one-time Pro purchase. Card/payment details are handled by Cleeng, not by us. See Cleeng's own privacy policy.
OpenSubtitles — only if you use the subtitle-search feature, we query their API for subtitles.
Email delivery provider — used only to send account emails such as password resets.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data to anyone.

5. Storage & security

Your data is stored on our own server. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes (bcrypt). All traffic between your device and our server is encrypted with HTTPS. We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

6. Data retention & deletion

We keep your account data while your account is active. You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time by emailing info@smartiptvstream.com. When you ask us to delete your account we remove your personal data, except where we must retain limited records for legal or accounting reasons.

7. Local storage

The app stores some data locally on your device (for example your session and app settings) so it works smoothly. This local data stays on your device and is cleared when you sign out or clear your browser storage.

8. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page with an updated date.
